Do you ever plug in your wired network card while your wireless card is still enabled? Ever wonder how Windows chooses which one to use? Here’s how to see the default priority—and how to change it if you want.

How to See the Current Network Card Priority

You’ll need to open up a new command prompt window and type in the following command:

netstat -rn | more

The | more part of the command will make sure that it doesn’t go flying off the screen, requiring you to scroll backwards—speaking of which, you should read our article about how to scroll backwards in the command prompt with the keyboard.

At the top of the output you’ll see the Interface List, and the column on the left-hand side shows the metric of the interface. You’ll notice that the loopback interface has the highest priority, followed by my wired Gigabit card, and then my wireless card.

If you’re wondering what all the other cards in the list are about, I’ve got some VPN software loaded, as well as VMware Workstation, all of which create virtual adapters that show up in the list.

How to Change the Network Card Priority

To change the priority, head into Network and Sharing Center and click on the Change adapter settings link on the left-hand side—or you can quickly open the network connections list by typing ncpa.cpl into the Start Menu search box.

Now that we’re in here, choose the network card that you want to change the priority for, right-click it, and choose Properties from the menu.

Now select the Internet Protocol Version 4 item in the list, and click the Properties button.

Now click the Advanced button at the bottom of this window…. getting tired of clicking yet?

And now, finally, we’re at the place where you can make the change. Uncheck the box for Automatic Metric, and then type a number into the Interface Metric textbox. You can consult the list that we found in the command prompt earlier to know what metric to assign—you’ll probably want to assign it something higher than 1, since that’s used for the loopback adapter.

You may want to go ahead and change the priority for your other card as well, just to be sure that it is assigned the proper priority.

How To Add Control Panel To Start Menu In Windows 10

Many PC users use Control Panel to access various admin tools and settings such as Device Manager and User Accounts. Since Start menu in Windows 10 is different from the familiar Start menu of Windows 7 or Vista and the fact that Control Panel isn’t located on the Start menu with default settings, many users are finding it difficult to open the Control Panel in Windows 10.

Even though one can type Control Panel in the Start menu search box and then press enter or right-click on the Start button and then click Control Panel to open the same, you might want to place the Control Panel on your Start menu in Windows 10.
If you want to pin Control Panel tile to the right-side of the Start menu, just like in the above picture, complete the instructions mentioned in Method 1. As you might have observed, you can also pin various other items such as Homegroup, Videos, Downloads and Network to the Start menu. To remove a pinned item from the Start menu, right-click on it and then click Remove from this list option.

Built-in "Administrator" Account Enabled in Windows 8

9) Window Login Screen တြင္ Ease of Access icon ကိုႏွိပ္ပါ။ Command Prompt Window ပြင့္လာပါမည္။
10) ေအာက္မွျပထားတဲ့ Command ႏွစ္ေၾကာင္းကို ရိုက္ထည့္ပါ။

password သည္ Administrator အေကာင့္ကုိေပးခ်င္တဲ့ password ထည့္ပါ။

11) စက္ျပန္စပါ။ စက္ျပန္တက္လာလွ်င္ Administrator အေကာင့္ေပၚေနမည္။ Administrator ျဖင့္ Login လုပ္ၿပီး တစ္ျခားအေကာင့္ မွာ password ကိုျဖတ္ခ်ပါ။
12) Window 8 DVD ျဖင့္ Boot ျပန္လုပ္ၿပီး Command Prompt ေရာက္ေအာင္ျပန္သြားပါ။ (Step 1 to 5)

13) copy    c:\    c:\windows\system32\utilman.exe 

Y ႏွိပ္ၿပီး စက္ျပန္စပါ။

Printer ကို set printer as default ထားေသာအခါ "Operation could not be completed (error 0×00000709)"

PROBLEM:

You will get the following error when you are trying to set your printer as default

“Operation could not be completed (error 0×00000709) Double check the printer name and make sure that the printer is connected to the network”

SOLUTION:

• Open Registry editor by typing REGEDIT in the RUN Prompt

• Traverse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
• Right Click the Windows key and click Permissions…

• Select Allow on Full Control permission and click OK

• Close the Registry Editor and restart the machine.

You receive a "The User Profile Service failed the logon” error message

To fix the user account profile, follow these steps: 

Press F8 key at computer boot up. Choose Safe Mode.

Click Start, type regedit in the Search box, and then press ENTER.

1. In Registry Editor, locate and then click the following registry subkey:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
2. In the navigation pane, locate the folder that begins with S-1-5 (SID key) followed by a long number.
3. Click each S-1-5 folder, locate the ProfileImagePath entry in the details pane, and then double-click to make sure that this is the user account profile that has the error.
   
   
   
   
   • If you have two folders starting with S-1-5 followed by some long numbers and one of them ended with .bak, you have to rename the .bak folder. To do this, follow these steps:
     1. Right-click the folder without .bak, and then click Rename. Type .ba, and then press ENTER.
        
        
     2. Right-click the folder that is named .bak, and then click Rename. Remove .bak at the end of the folder name, and then press ENTER.
        
        
     3. Right-click the folder that is named .ba, and then click Rename. Change the .ba to .bak at the end of the folder name, and then press ENTER.

After much searching I found this solution that worked

start > run > regedit

Browse the registry to HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer

Create: DisableMSI       Type: REG_DWORD  value = 0  

 (0 should allow you to install it was originally 1) 

(In my case the value had been set to 2 so I changed it to 0)

ASCII code ဆိုတာ American Standard Code for Information Interchange ကိုအတိုေကာက္ေရးထားတာပါ။ ASCII Code ကိုအလြယ္ရွင္းျပရရင္ ကြန္ပ်ဴတာေတြက Numbers ေတြကိုပဲ နားလည္ပါတယ္၊ လူေတြအသံုးျပဳေနတဲ့ Character (စကားလံုး) ေတြကိုနားမလည္ပါဘူး။ ASCII Code က လူေတြနားလည္တဲ့ Character ေတြကို ကြန္ပ်ဴတာနားလည္ေအာင္ နံပါတ္ေတြသက္မွတ္ထားတာကို ေျပာတာပါ။ ASCII မွာဆို 0 ကေန 255 ထိရွိပါတယ္။ ေအာက္မွျပထားတဲ့ Table ကေတာ့ ASCII Code Table ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ အဲဒီထဲမွာ ပထမဆံုး 32  က non-printing Character ေတြပါ။

64 ႏွင့္ 1 ရွိသည့္ေနရာမ်ားတြင္ 1 ေျပာင္းထည့္ပါ။ 01000001 ျဖစ္ရပါမယ္။ ကြန္ပ်ဴတာမွာ A ကိုမွတ္ဖို႔ဆိုရင္ 01000001 လို႔မွတ္ပါလိမ့္မယ္။ ေနာက္တစ္ခု 138 ဆိုပါေတာ့။ 139 ရဖို႔ 128+4+1
10000101 ျဖစ္ပါမယ္။ အားလံုး 11111111 ျဖစ္ရင္ေတာ့ 255 ျဖစ္မည္။

Windows Desktop Right-Click Menu မွာ Application List ထည့္နည္း

၁) regedit.exe ကို Run မွာရုက္ထည့္ပါ။ ၿပီးလွ်င္ ေအာက္မွာ ျပထားသည့္ Key အထိအဆင့္ဆင့္ဖြင့္ပါ။

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell

Shell ေပၚတြင္ R-Click ႏွိပ္ပါ။ New --> Key ကိုေရြးပါ။ R-Click --> Menu  မွာထည့္မည့္ နာမည္ရိုက္ထည့္ပါ။ Eg. Notepad

Notepad ေပၚမွာ R-Click ႏွိပ္ပါ။ New --> Key ကိုႏွိပ္ပါ။ command လို႔ရုိက္ထည့္ပါ။




Command ကိုေရြးပါ။ ညာဘက္ျခမ္း တြင္ (Default) REG_SZ ကို ႏွစ္ခ်က္ႏွိပ္ပါ။ Program Path ကိုထည့္ပါ။ Program Path သိရန္ ထည့္လိုတဲ့ Program ကို Shit ႏွိပ္ၿပီး R-Click ႏွိပ္ပါ။ ၿပီးလွ်င္ Copy As Path ကိုေရြးပါ။ ၿပီးလွ်င္ Program Path ထည့္မည့္ေနရာတြင္ Paste လုပ္ပါ။

Now click on “command” on the left side, and then double-click on the (Default) key in the right side to edit the string value.


Desktop ေပၚမွာ Right Click ႏွိပ္လွ်င္ Notepad ကိုေတြ႔ရမည္။ တစ္ျခား Program မ်ားလဲ Program Path ပဲကြာပါတယ္။
